Solaris Sun Cluster Rename Device ID (DID)

There are situations where a Sun Cluster Device ID, also known as a DID, needs to be renamed.
The following commands show you how to do this.
Rename Sun Cluster Device ID d3 to d13:
cldev rename -d 13 3
Verify the Sun Cluster Device ID rename worked:
cldev list -v d13
Verify again the Sun Cluster Device ID rename worked:
prtvtoc /dev/did/rdsk/d13
Populate the renamed Sun Cluster Device ID to the Global Zone:
cldev populate
